PROMOTING YOUR EXHIBITION
Spread the word!
You've worked hard to get to this point: now it's time to let everyone know how to see your exhibition. While the following list is not exhaustive, it is a good place to start for promoting your exhibition. As always, be sure to proofread anything carefully before posting!
Advertising on Campus
-
All advertising on campus must be done according to university and building guidelines. University staff will remove any flyers or other promotional materials that are posted in non-designated areas. For more information on this policy, please visit: https://wmich.edu/policies/posting
-
Postcards and posters can be posted on any of the bulletin boards in the Richmond Center for Visual Arts and South Kohrman Hall.
-
Postcards offer an opportunity to advertise your exhibition in a traditional gallery format. It is best to order your postcards and posters at least one month in advance of your exhibition date.
Promoting on Social Media
-
The Richmond Center for Visual Arts will create one post for your exhibition on the day it opens.
-
You are encouraged to promote your exhibition on your own social media platforms. Please be sure to tag Richmond Center for Visual Arts in your posts!
